MONS. NOGARA, GIUSEPPE (Bellano, 1872 - Udine, 1955)

Archbishop of Udine

On 27 August 1940, Someda de Marco tells us about Mons. Nogara and his willingness to grant for free the storage of the archbishopric in order to be used, if necessary, as a repository of the wooden material needed for the protection of the Monuments of Udine.
Just like the Architect Cesare Miani, Giuseppe Nogara was asked to give his opinion about the detachment of Tiepolo´s frescoes, expressing his opposition to this procedure.
