PIAZZO, UMBERTO (Alessandria, 1900 - Roma, 1957)
Superintendent in charge of Udine, Architect
The Architect Umberto Piazzo, who published reliefs of neoclassical buildings in Trieste, held the position of Honorary Inspector for the Superintendency of Trieste and, in 1945, was appointed Superintendent in charge of Udine by the Subcommission MFAA. This temporary task was due to the complicated situation at the border between Udine and Venezia Giulia, and would have ended with the return to normality in 1950. Sometimes, in official documents, he deputized for the Superintendent Franco, signing for him. He collaborated with Carlo Someda de Marco, with whom he took all the necessary measures for the best protection of the works of art centralized in Passariano.
