Cesare Miani collaborated with Someda de Marco for the protection of the artwork. He was asked to give an opinion about the protection of some sacred buildings, the typology of materials and the number of men needed to preserve them. Urged by Someda de Marco he expressed his opinion about the possible detachment of the frescoes of Tiepolo in Udine, saying that he was absolutely against to it. Following the bombardment of 1945, he took the responsibility of the preservation of the damaged apse of Saint Francis´ Church.
